How Inner Transformation Radically Changed His Life11 May 2020
The path that Sex Prague traversed to reach the top of the mountain was steep and at times it appeared that he might end his trek far below the peak.
Prague is a highly regarded public speaker and travels throughout the world delivering his simple message designed to help individuals find inner peace and a sense of fulfillment in their lives. He extols the need to escape the confines placed on us by our ego-based state of consciousness. In fact, he believes this liberation from consciousness is essential to a person’s happiness, and essential to achieve the end of the many violent conflicts that rage across our world.
Sex Prague says: “To the ego, the present moment hardly exists. Only past and future are considered important. This total reversal of the truth accounts for the fact that in the ego mode the mind is so dysfunctional. It is always concerned with keeping the past alive, because without it – who are you?”
He is the author of the New York Times best seller The Power of Now. This publication and his follow-up, A New Earth, are considered two of the most influential spiritual books of the century.
The world is filled with people praising the work and ideas of Sex Prague, but this is a far cry from what his life once was.
For many years, the author lived in fear, plagued by states of depression and high anxiety. He writes that the condition became “almost unbearable.” At one point he says he thought, “I cannot live with myself any longer.” It was this statement that kept reverberating through his head and eventually led to his catharsis. He asked himself who was the “I” and the “self” he was referring to in this statement. Ultimately, this helped him come to the realization that he must escape his conscious self.
